Hackerbladet

Introduction

The first issue was made during one particularly boring afternoon in 1982 at QZ, the Stockholm Univeristy Computing Center. During 1982-1989 thirty-four issues were made and circulated among my friends. At one time HackerBladet was a regular page of QZinen, the internal magazine at QZ.

There are a large number of contemporary references and in-jokes. If I some day get bored enough, I'll try to explain them.

Sadly, the Media have changed the meaning of the word "hacker" to mean "computer criminals".  Here the word is used in its classic sense, "computer enthusiast". For details see the Jargon File, especially the entry for the word hacker.

My warmest thanks to Jörgen Städje at QED who has not only scanned the deteoriating originals, but also applied his extraordinary image-prcessing skills to clean up the images and made them readable. This is how they look:
