Senior Instrument Engineer required urgently for large Oil and Gas Service Provider based in Aberdeen Start ASAP, Duration Ongoing, Location Wellheads Place, Project ConocoPhillips, Rate Neg ROLE: This Senior Instrument Engineer is required to work within a small project team whose goal is to provide additional wellbay slots for one particular platform. The project is at conceptual stage, and will move through FEED and detail design in 2006, with implementation beginning in early 2007. The engineer will cover all aspects of this job including flowline instrumentation and control, fire and gas, DCS and ESD. The role includes estimating and technically evaluating alternative proposed solutions, the production of equipment datasheets, specifications and SDRLs, vendor liaison including Factory Acceptance tests, offshore survey work and construction/commissioning support. One of the attractions of this role is to contribute to a project from early stages through to completion. Responsibilities also include ensuring that materials and plant are specified and requisitioned accurately, cost effectively, and in a timely manner in accordance with the project schedule, and to provide assistance to resolve budget and schedule issues. PERSON SPECIFICATION: Experience in specifying flowline instrumentation an advantage. Experience in specifying and managing F&G, DCS and ESD systems modifications an advantage Must have the ability to work as part of a team, and must be comfortable liaising with customer and suppliers. Must be willing to go offshore and visit vendor premises as and when required Minimum 8 years experience. Ideally degree-qualified and chartered, however alternative qualifications/experience will be considered.

Senior Process Engineer 16016, £45-£55 (NEGOTIABLE)
One of my clients based in London requires an experianced Process Engineer, our client currently have succession of projects that will run through to 2008, they would want someone with preferably chartered Chemical Engineers, with at least 7 years experience with a major engineering contractor. They are required to supplement our existing engineering teams on both FEED and EPC stages of gas processing and LNG terminals projects. The Process Engineering phase of these projects will run for at least 12 months. The suitable engineer will have worked with oil and gas production technologies and may have experience of cryogenic processes. The work will include process specification of equipment, included compressors, multistage pumps, heat exchangers and absorbers, development of PFDs, P&IDs and associated documentation. Strong competencies are required in hydraulic design, vendor data preparation and review. Another project is the offshore work. The first of a succession of projects is for ConocoPhillips. The ConocoPhillips project will start with studies on water injection to an existing reservoir and also studies for ConocoPhillips on development of a new oil/gas reservoir with tie-back into existing platforms. Both fields are offshore Norway and the 4 month study work will roll over into basic engineering. The expected duration of the project is about a year onging. They are looking to pay with £45-55 p/h however this rate is negotiable. LEAD PROCESS ENGINEER - 2110, £60K-£65K
We require a Lead Process Engineer to work for an International Oil & Gas, Petrochemical Engineering Contractor on a major project based in their Middlesex Project Offices The successful candidate should hold a Chem. Eng. Degree with at least 15 years experience and have experience of leadership of large teams. It is preferred that the candidate holds the following skills: strong experience on utility projects; knowledge of Shell procedures; and has worked in contracting Brief job description: Leadership of a large (25-30) process engineering team on a massive EPM project in Qatar for Shell. Work will require the individual to oversee the planning, organising and distribution of process work and the co-ordination of his/her team with other disciplines, Shell reps and the PMC team in-house.

Graduate Piping Materials Engineer : 444, £28 - 32000
Scope of activities: Assisting with detailed material selection, engineering calculations, line list and line classifications on flow sheets, piping material purchase specifications, preparation of technical procurement and contract documents and bid summaries, review of drawings and calculations and coordination with client/owner, authorities and vendors for clarification and guidance regarding piping engineering activities. Key responsibilities: Preparation of technical specifications (including strength calculations) for pipe, piping components, valves and special piping items Responsible for P&ID’s and line-lists Preparation of material requisitions for all piping related items Evaluation of vendor quotations and documentation Experience: 2+ years experience Prior oil & gas industry experience would be an advantage Minimum requirements: Willingness to travel Degree in Mechanical and/or Material Engineering/Metallurgy
