JOB TITLE: DRILLING & COMPLETION INTERFACE ENGINEER - KAZAKHSTAN REFERENCE: 2217 Our Client is looking for an experienced and skilled candidate to cover the position below on one of their projects in Kazakhstan The job holder is responsible for providing the comprehensive engineering support about requirements dictated from District Geoscience on a day by day basis to the completion, well testing, well intervention operations. JOB PURPOSE To provide the WOD WE Section, the well engineering planning support to drilling & completion, well testing and well intervention operations, by finalizing the requirement dictate from District Geoscience. Ensure that planning of these activities is consistent with the applicable rules and procedures and that operations are performed in a safe, efficient and cost effective manner. Ensure that data and information are collected to satisfy needs and requirements of the client. Search and propose in co-operation with WOE the most effective methods and technologies aimed at improving safety and performances of the well operations. If required, provide training/tutoring of local engineers to the client’s standards. Description CCL (www.cclglobal.com) has been requested by an oil and gas joint venture company to provide an Engineering and Construction Manager for an onshore oil and gas field development in Eastern Ukraine. Position will be based on a rotational 28 / 28 rotation but some flexibility will be required to accommodate operational requirements. Accommodation will be in a camp adjacent to the production facility. Qualifications The ideal candidate should be well educated and have a recognised engineering degree. Should be computer literate, ideally with some CAD experience, have the ability to promote teamwork and train local employees, the ability to innovate and have the flexibility to adapt with changing situations and an International Drivers License is required. All nationalities will be considered but fluent English is obligatory. Knowledge of Russian or Ukrainian will be an obvious advantage. Experience The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10 years experience with oil and gas engineering and construction projects. Possibly a mechanical or civil background, but ideally the candidate should also be able to demonstrate some knowledge with other areas of engineering e.g. process, instrumentation, electrical. Evidence of previous supervisory experience is essential. Related experience in cold weather, remote onshore operations, particularly in FSU, would be advantageous. The Engineering / Construction Manager will be responsible for managing and assisting the local construction and engineering staff to ensure the safe and efficient management of current and future design, engineering and construction projects on a timely basis. Current projects include upgrading of the oil and gas process facility, the installation of additional gas compression, new tanks and flow lines and drilling operational support.
