Re: Support for multiple GSS libs

Does the Globus GSI mech stuff with the MIT GSS library? I.e., is it
source or object files that you can drop in and replace the MIT gss
krb5 mech code? How about with Heimdal?

If no, then to select between krb5 and GSI the app would have to select
which GSS-API library to load during runtime linking, either using
dlopen()/dlsym() and calling the GSS-API functions indirectly or with a
wrapper shim that does the dlsym() stuff, or LD_PRELOAD, say, and then
there's no need to muck around with mechglue.

OTOH, if the Globus GSI mech stuff can integrate with the MIT or Heimdal
GSS framework, then mucking with mechglue should allow the app to
specify which mech to use to GSS-API.

Even so, the choice has to be made before sending any tokens to the
acceptor.

To negotiate which mech to use you'd need an SPNEGO implementation. And
the mechglue.

Cheers,

Nico
