I got Heimdal Kerberos working on network of NetBSD/OpenBSD/Linux/Irix
systems without too much bother.  I followed NetBSD's intructions on
setting up a realm (http://www.netbsd.org/Documentation/network/#kerberos).
The Heimdal manual (http://www.pdc.kth.se/heimdal/heimdal.html#Setting%20up%20a%20realm)
contains pretty much the same information.
