HP Z230, with Xeon E3-1245 V3, 3.4 GHz. This is a single-cpu comuter, max 32 gb ram memory. I bought it because I belived it could be "silent", and yes, it only makes about as much noise as a laptop. Excellent! The cpu even has an integrated graphics processor, so it is possible to use the computer without a graphics card. Ok, IGPU is not good for games, but it works. And apparently the IGPU is quicker for transcoding (converting) video formats, than a real graphics card. There is even a 6-pin power for graphics cards, should I need it.

The E3 xeons are fairly quick, most of them with hyperthreading, low-power, so the result is an energy-efficient computer for personal use. The E5 series can use two (dual) cpu, for higher capacites, and much more memory. Useful for servers and intense computing, but requires more power, and is more expensive.
