Konrad Zuse

1941-05-12: Konrad Zuse demonstrates Z3 for visitors from the Deutsche Versuchsanstalt f. Luftfahrt. The features included:

• Electromagnetic relay banks
• 600 relays for calculation, 1400 relays for memory
• Binary numbers, floating point, 22 bit words
• 64 words of memory
• 8 channel punched film (8 bit instructions)
• 0.3 flops for mult, div and sqrt
