Day 1. The RN315T box. The hole for the midrange isn't cut yet. The profile for the exponential horn. Tomas planing a profile. Three profiles with 90mm spacers. All this in 16mm birch plywoed. Cutting a hole so that we can pull the driver out through the midrange hole (the midrange horn easier to remove...)

The obligatory Gluing three 8mm sheets of plywood over the profiles. 13 C-clamps are used all in all Speaker baffle before routing. The throat size is smaller than the cone to achieve compression and get a better acoustical impedance matching. Baffle, top and side (it's flipped upside down), testing the measurements.

Making sure that we won't hit a screw with the saw Christian measuring to cut more walls and me routing. This is day 2. Me routing the baffle, to give the outer 35mm of the cone 10mm travel space. Christian again. Actually, first time he'd done stuff with RN since december. Routed baffle. Gonna make four of these by the time we're done.

Gluing together two bits of 12mm plywood for the floor of the horn. Jesper, Tomas and Christian about to cut a bunch of 8mm sheets for the horn. Three people taking up the space that 12 schoolkids use. We borrowed a woodshop room at the primary school that Tomas girlfriend works at. Glueing the horn sheets. A lot of glue got used. Mounting the profiles in the air.

It's now around 1 am, and we discovered we needed to mitre the walls, but the planer couldn't handle that angle... so we built a jig for the bandsaw Checking the distance. Sawing. We ended up with a much duller saw afterwards. One semester's use in two days. Testing the baffle fit. Assembling the horn for testing.

It needed a bit of ... persuasion. We ended up sawing all of horns because they were too wide. Yes! It fits! And with the speaker mounted. Not a lot of space behind. This hole is for the handle. What it looks like assembled.

Get the last one done We needed to route out some holes so that the handles could fit. 16mm of 21mm plywood had to go. I really like that Festool router, except that the hose kept falling off. A whole new meaning to car stereo. This is 6am the next day when we're leaving for sleep and final assembly at the venue.
