Poetry Year - Challenge Continued

Welcome to Poetry Year - Challenge Continued!

Is this a poem?
It doesn't rhyme.
It has no rythm.
Now I'm even destroying it's symmetry.
I don't see how this can be a poem.

But if I give it another verse,
Make it rythmic like a song,
Add some rhymes but not too long,
Alliterate until it ends,
(Pretty poem with a pace!),
Compare thee to a summers day,
Eternal love and angst in may,
Capital Letters,
Some Hexameters,
Is this a poem, please tell me, say!

Poetry Year 2005 was a challenge for everyone who likes writing poetry, would like to write poetry or just loves challenges in general. The goal for each participant was to write one poem each day during 2005.

2005 is over, but the challenge continues! A whole year turned out to be too challenging for most of the participants, so now the challenge is more open. Challenge yourself! Do a "poetry year", a "poetry month" or a "poetry week". Write a poem every second day, or every Tuesday. It is up to you, as is the "reward"!

The definition of a poem is up to each participant. If you can call it a poem then it is a poem. You don't have to publish your poems in any way or show them to anyone. Keeping track of your poem count is totally up to you and your conscience.

The Poetry Year community on LiveJournal is still open, as is the registration page. You can use the LiveJournal community for group challenges like "who is up for a poetry month next month?", posting your poems and general discussions.
