Project start of Heimdal

Hello,

I'm working on my diploma thesis which deals with the implementation of 
Kerberos in OpenWBEM. While describing the two main open source 
implementations MIT Kerberos and Heimdal Kerberos I need to know when the 
Heimdal project was started. I searched the web, but I don't see anything. 
Maybe anyone on this list can help me.
It would be nice if he can give me a link, so that I can use it in the 
bibliography.
