Confirmed, it works. The old patch by Bryan Jacobs still does the trick, 
nothing else is needed apart of modifying configure.ac of nfs-utils and 
configure.in of librpcsecgss. (So finally I do patch configure.in and 
configure.ac files, but not those of Heimdal.) I've reported all of that 
at https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=185899

Would some consensus with the developers of other kerberos and gssapi 
implementations on common pkg-config file names be possible? Something 
like kerberos.pc or krb5.pc and gssapi.pc could work better for kerberos 
and/or gssapi dependant packages than having to fork tests for 
libgssglue and heimdal-gssapi.
