Poetry Year - Joining

Step 1 - Register

Register as a participant at the registration page. As a registered participant you will be listed on the participants page. You can also enter a poem count, that you can later update from the update page.

Step 2 - Join the LiveJournal Community

In the Poetry Year LiveJournal Community you will find news and updates and can discuss with the other participants.

You must have a LiveJournal account to join the community. Creating a LiveJournal account is free. Go to http://www.livejournal.com to create a LiveJournal account.

If you want to publish some of your poems on-line, it is a good idea to put them in a LiveJournal that you register as a friend of the Poetry Year LiveJournal Community. That way the other Poetry Year participants can easily read your poems on the Poetry Year LiveJournal's friends page. Joining the community will automatically register your LiveJournal as a friend of the community.
